Privacy notice
We help dog owners find a club. This notice explains how we handle club information and personal data.
Who operates this website?

What information do we use?
Club profiles include names, federations, disciplines, training locations, websites and contact details. Sources include public federation and club information and club submissions. Contact details from public competition and registration listings may also be used as sources.
Requests also contain the requester’s name, email address, message and processing history. Personal access links, internal notes and email history are not intended for publication. Public profiles may display the club’s contact email, website and training location.
Why do we use this information?
We use club information to maintain a useful and accurate directory, correct errors and process requests and club submissions. Our legitimate interest is a reliable club directory and a secure service. We limit data to what is needed for club information, handling requests and security. You can object where your personal interests outweigh this interest.
Analytics relies on your consent, which you may refuse or withdraw without losing access to the website. Submitting a request does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Club emails are used only to verify and follow up club information, using contact details from public federation and club sources. You can refuse further invitations by replying to an email.
Who receives information?
Only the ZigIT operator has access to the administration and handles privacy requests. Public club information is visible to visitors. Personal requester details and internal follow-up are intended for processing and administration only.
The map uses OpenStreetMap tiles and map libraries delivered through unpkg. Loading these services shares technical connection information, including your IP address. When analytics is enabled and you consent, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Google then receives page views, traffic sources, campaign details, permitted interactions and technical connection information. Processing outside the European Economic Area may take place. We use Hostinger to host the website and send emails. Hostinger processes the information needed to provide these services. Hostinger makes automatic weekly website and database backups and retains them under its policy for up to six weeks. Any temporary database copies for deployment and recovery are retained for up to 30 days.
How long do we retain information?
Current club information remains available while the profile is relevant to the directory. Requests, submissions and email records are retained as needed for handling, follow-up and accountability for changes.
Personal data and message content in closed requests, club submissions and verification email cases are automatically minimised after 12 months. Open or reopened cases are retained. Minimal case identifiers, dates and necessary verification evidence remain without the removed message content. Club and privacy enquiries in the mailbox are also deleted 12 months after final completion. Application and cron logs and our temporary database copies are retained for up to 30 days; weekly Hostinger backups for up to six weeks. After an objection to contact, we retain only what is needed to respect it. Necessary extended retention, for example for a dispute, is justified and reviewed separately. Following a backup restoration, we reapply necessary deletions and contact blocks.
Searching and your location
Your browser asks permission when you use your location. The website uses it to show nearby clubs. Map requests can disclose the viewed area to the map provider. Avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Your rights and contact
You can request access, correction, erasure or restriction and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where applicable, you can request data portability. To stop club invitations, simply reply to an email. The operator handles your request and normally responds within one month. Where there is doubt, we may request limited additional information to verify your identity.
